System and Computer Requirements
What kind of computer do I need?

The computer system requirements to run this web site are:

  • A computer running a web browser that supports frames, such as the latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. We recommend using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later for best results.
  • Mouse or compatible pointing device.
  • The amount of RAM recommended by your web browser vendor. For example, if you are running Internet Explorer on Windows 95, you need at least 8MB of RAM. For best results, we recommend at least 32MB of RAM.
  • We recommend a display resolution of 800x600 or greater. This web site will run at 640x480 display resolution, but you may need to scroll the Web pages right and left to see all the information when using this resolution.
What kind of browser do I need?
  • A browser that supports frames.
  • A recent version of one of the popular web browsers like Microsoft Explorer or Netscape Navigator. The software companies that make web browsers do not always support the agreed upon worldwide standards for HTML, so it is difficult to produce web sites that work the same on different versions of different browsers. What kind of browser settings do I need?
  • You must have JavaScript enabled on your web browser controls. This is the standard setting on most browsers.
  • You must enable your computer to accept cookies.
How do you make the web site so fast?
  • We use a technology called advance publishing to create most of the popular web pages in nearly finished form so they load very quickly with most Internet connections.
  • We use a compression technology that allows us to send many web pages in compressed form - thereby speeding up the download times.
  • We do our best to keep page sizes relatively small so that they load fast.
