We require account activation for security reasons. When you sign up using your email address, we are able to send an email to your mailbox that presumably only you are accessing. By requiring you to click on the activation link in the email it acts as a confirmation that you are the person that signed up. This helps keep fraudulent accounts from being created.
The activation emails are sent within 10 seconds from us so
you may log in without delay. However, delivery mail systems, like AOL, MSN,
Hotmail, etc, deliver their mail at varying intervals that we are not able
to control. Typically, it should only take a few minutes for you to receive.
Additional problems that may occur are do to spam filters and other filters
used by mail services. If you have access to a spam folder on your account,
please check that for the activation email. You should be asked if you want
future emails to be allowed from the sender, in this case, us.
Each mail service is different in how you can find mail that went into spam.
Here is an example - this is for AOL users:
Some email systems, like AOL, do not translate the activation hyperlink correctly but display it on two separate lines. In that case, please copy the first line and the second line to make one long web link in the address window of your web browser.
If this does not work or you are experiencing another problem, please feel free to contact us at support@travwell.com
